How We Help
Our supports are as varied as those individuals that enter our office. If they meet the criteria of needing an urgent financial support, we will attempt to meet the need. Examples may include but are not restricted to; food, fuel, rent, damage deposits, utilities, medical need, transportation.
We also provide guidance to connect with other support agencies. We are meant to be a ‘hand up’ in a crisis situation, not an ongoing support agency. We operate programs that are unavailable elsewhere: Operation Night Angel-Short term motel space to women fleeing domestic abuse (referral required) Coats for Families-providing all kinds of winter wear to low-income families Hope for Leduc Homeless-care-kits, blankets, new toiletries and underwear/socks, meal cards, bus tickets We are a 100% volunteer operated organization! From varied professional backgrounds, we all have a passion to serve.
Our funding comes through grants, fundraisers and donations from those that believe in what we do. Our greatest satisfaction is when those whom we have helped, have returned to volunteer with the Leduc Hub Association.

Established as a registered charity in 2008 under the name “Leduc & District Emergency Shelter Association”, we have grown and expanded our programs and supports for the City of Leduc and Leduc County over the years.
2018
A new name and logo in 2018 better depicts our goal of giving a helping hand to all that are in urgent need.
